The Government is cutting the Winter Fuel Payment for pensioners not on certain means-tested benefits (including pension credit).
This is the wrong policy decision. As many as 2.5 million pensioners will be seriously hit by this cut and will find paying their energy bills a real stretch.
While the Government has won a vote to continue these plans, we won’t stop campaigning for every older people who needs support this winter.
